Job Description
Responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness of the facility by utilizing cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing agents as required by departmental and regulatory guidelines including but not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, strip, wax and buffing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, shampooing carpets, washing and sanitizing walls, windows and doors ... polishing fixtures, furnishings and furniture, dusting and damp wiping ledges, vents, woodwork and window frames, maintaining sidewalks clean and safe in all weather conditions, keeping all entrances, exits and driveways free from any debris, obstruction and/or potential hazardous conditions. Responsible for utilizing safety practices in carrying out all duties including but not limited to tending to spills in a timely manner, using wet floor signs appropriately, using personal protective equipment as well as utilizing other safety practices. Responsible for following the facility's Infection Control policies and procedures per guidelines including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, cleaning refrigerators, collecting and disposing of garbage and infectious waste, emptying and lining garbage receptacles, cleaning and sanitizing bins and securely storing garbage until sanitation pick up takes place. Responsible for possessing knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Manual. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping stock including but not limited to storing supplies accordingly, ensuring housekeeping equipment are in good working order and clean, maintaining supply inventory, ordering and replenishing supplies.
Requirements:
Minimum of six (6) months of Environmental Care experience required
On the job training is provided
High School/GED
Pay: 1199 Collective Bargaining Union Rates
