The Technology Deployment Modeling (TDM) team within the World-Wide Robotics organization uses modeling and analysis to technically advise and lead innovative solutions that drive improvements in planning accuracy and execution of robotic technology deployment. Our solutions enable wider selection, faster delivery, and better price while minimizing risk to our customers. We are seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Systems Development Engineer to contribute in delivering transformational innovation to the business by creating scalable tools, providing analysis, and improving overall deployment execution. This position is a unique opportunity to become involved in strategic planning on a massive scale, with high impact right from the start. The ideal candidate is results oriented, makes things happen, has the ability to move quickly, is passionate to innovate and simplify, can manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, is customer oriented and has interpersonal skills including business communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
• You deliver modeling and analysis which improve engineering and operational processes enabling efficient, large-scale, global deployment of material handling and robotics systems
• Complete projects that elevate performance, quality, and delivery of new automation systems, and leverage operational data to deliver results for an extensive project portfolio
• Develop simulation scenarios by learning and translating Amazon deployment and commissioning practices into an appropriate format for modeling
• Synthesize output metrics to generate reports and polished presentations, highlighting findings and change recommendations
• Validate models using project data, site visits, and correspondence across deployment teams to ensure model has sufficient detail to enable accurate quantitative evaluation of performance

Basic Qualifications
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Experience tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language
• Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
