Application Instructions
The Material Handler works as a member of a team to move finished product from production to various on-site locations.
• Prepare product, trailer, and ground to safely unload product
• Effectively communicate with truck drivers, overhead crane and travel crane operations
• Loading of trailers
• Unloading trailers
• Proper dunnage placement
• Load leveling
• Properly sequence loads onto trailer
• Identify and report damaged or defective product
• Off load list, locate pieces of concrete product identified as being shipped that day
• Work with mi-jack crane operator in safely proceeding to product’s location
• Rig product to be lifted as needed
• Set timbers on trailer in preparation for product loading
• Unhook rigging on product once laid on trailer correctly
• Work as a part of a team assisting others as needed
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety regulations and policies
• Ability to operate tablet to identify items to be loaded or offloaded
• Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner

Education and Technology:
