As an Event Manager, you oversee all activities within the back of the unit, catering operations, and events for the account.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain the availability of required equipment (china, glass, and silver) for the Restaurant and Banquet areas.
• Guarantee the availability of essential supplies for catering, events and kitchen operations.
• Oversee the setup and execution of events, ensuring each detail aligns with the account's standards for excellence.
• Coordinate the timely pulling of equipment and supplies for events.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary food production, including purchasing, receiving, food storage, and facility maintenance.
• Provide leadership and direction to the utility, catering, and culinary teams, fostering their growth and success through comprehensive hiring, training, development, coaching, and counseling.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, and sanitation, maintaining the highest standards.
• Implement, oversee, and meticulously follow up on all sanitation standards and procedures to guarantee a pristine environment.
• Ensure that food service equipment is securely maintained in proper working order, addressing any issues promptly.
• Prepare weekly schedules and adjust personnel allocation as necessary to accommodate operational demands.
• Maintain meticulous control over the inventory of china, glass, and silver to uphold service excellence.
• Fulfill other assigned duties to contribute to operations' overall efficiency and excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Possess a degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
• Showcase a minimum of three years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Display familiarity with high-volume purchasing, food storage, inventory control, and sanitation practices.
• Exhibit a self-starter attitude with exceptional multitasking abilities.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of safe and sanitary food handling principles.
• Display physical capability to lift, bend, and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Possess robust supervisory, leadership, hands-on management, and coaching skills to empower your teams.
• Communicate effectively through strong written and verbal skills, facilitating clear interactions.
• Utilize proficient computer skills, including various programs within Microsoft Office, email, and the Internet, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Implement strong financial, budgetary, and food cost control practices.
• Uphold the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior, aligning with the account's values.
• Possess ServSafe or Department of Health certification (a plus), underscoring your commitment to food safety.
