Leads the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions that support Carenetβs operational, client, product modernization, and technology innovation objectives.
This role drives engineering execution, team performance, and software development best practices while ensuring technology solutions align with business priorities, operational stability, and long-term architectural standards.
The role also strengthens engineering maturity by improving SDLC processes, supporting cloud-based application delivery, and advancing adoption of modern development tools and AI-assisted engineering capabilities that improve efficiency, quality, and delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities
Oversee software development activities including architecture collaboration, design, development, testing, deployment, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering team members to support performance, accountability, and professional growth.
Implement and monitor software quality standards, testing practices, code reviews, and release management processes.
Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with engineering standards.
Evaluate and support adoption of cloud technologies, DevOps capabilities, automation tools, and AI-assisted development solutions.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, PMO, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to prioritize and deliver technology solutions.
Manage team capacity, resource allocation, and project priorities to ensure efficient delivery and operational support coverage.
Prepare and communicate development status updates, risks, operational concerns, and project outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
Support production incidents, escalations, and on-call activities as needed to maintain application stability and business continuity.
Contribute to continuous improvement of SDLC governance, engineering processes, documentation standards, and operational maturity initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Strong expertise in Agile software development methodologies, SDLC practices, and modern engineering principles.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as .NET, React, C#, APIs, cloud-based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps collaboration.
Proven ability to lead and mentor software engineering teams while driving delivery performance and accountability.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities within software development and operational environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Flexibility to support operational escalations and on-call responsibilities as needed.
Preferred
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools, engineering productivity platforms, or emerging software engineering technologies.
Experience supporting cloud-native or SaaS application environments.
Exposure to DevOps automation, infrastructure-as-code, or modern application monitoring practices.
