A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Medical Director, Dermatology
The Medical Director, Dermatology, will serve as one of the leading customer-facing medical experts for Castle Biosciences, leading, coaching, and directing research development and medical affairs activities related to dermatology applications while collaborating with and reporting to the Senior Vice President of Medical. Success in this role requires the ability to provide high-level medical insights and act as a trusted resource for both internal and external stakeholders, as well as a humble, flexible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to roll up one's sleeves and contribute to cross-functional teams at both a strategic and executional level. This role will spend the most time acting as a player-coach in collaboration with MSL and Sales teams to support field efforts and customer engagement; communicating complex clinical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences; developing and executing clinical, research, and medical affairs strategies for the dermatology portfolio of tests; providing deep dermatology and/or cutaneous oncology expertise to product-specific teams and cross-functional initiatives; and leading clinician-facing communications through peer-to-peer interactions, advisory boards, conferences, webinars, and other educational forums, while representing Castle Biosciences in interactions with regulatory agencies, payers, and research collaborators.
REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or equivalent.
3+ years of relevant clinical expertise diagnosing, treating, and/or managing cutaneous neoplasms. (e.g., cutaneous melanoma, high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma)
Outstanding written and oral presentation communication skills on scientific topics; persuasive, strong at building relationships, able to distill complex information into a simple message, comfortable and experienced at presenting to audiences of peers

Monday-Friday, working from your home office located in the USA.
Weekends and overnight travel based on conference and meeting schedules.
