Night shift | Makati Onsite
The Benefits Specialist – Accommodations & Leave plays a key role in supporting employees by managing workplace accommodations and leave programs across multiple locations. This position ensures accommodation requests and both statutory and non-statutory leaves are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies—helping create a supportive and compliant workplace experience.
Responsibilities
- The position provides operational support to employees and leaders throughout the leave lifecycle and contributes to consistent, standardized leave administration and continuous process improvement.
Manage end-to-end accommodation and leave processes, including medical, personal, disability, FMLA, and other applicable leave programs for employees in the U.S., Philippines, Canada, and additional assigned locations
Collect, review, and maintain all required documentation accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor leave timelines, eligibility, and return-to-work requirements to ensure timely and compliant resolution of cases
Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on leave requests, eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work processes
Deliver clear, accurate, and timely communication while handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Apply federal, state, local, and international leave and accommodation laws consistently and in alignment with internal policies and procedures
Stay informed of regulatory updates impacting leave administration and escalate complex, non-routine, or high-risk cases as appropriate
Collaborate with HR partners, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure effective program administration and alignment across systems and workflows
Maintain accurate and confidential leave records, including medical certifications and correspondence, in accordance with record retention and data privacy standards
Compile, review, and analyze leave-related data to support reporting needs and identify trends, gaps, or opportunities for process improvement
Support the creation and maintenance of job aids, training materials, and employee communications related to leave and accommodations
Perform additional duties as needed to support HR operations and organizational effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of two (2) experience in US and PH leave administration, benefits administration, HR operations, or a related human resources function required.
- Experience supporting employee accommodations, FMLA, ADA, disability, or other statutory and regulatory leave programs preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional or global environment preferred.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and apply employment laws, internal policies, and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, documentation standards, and confidential record management.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR or case management systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
