Job Overview

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking highly motivated Packaging Technicians with a passion for electronics to join our technology-driven client in Norcross, GA. This is an excellent entry-level IT opportunity to gain hands-on experience with hardware configuration, mobile device processing, and logistics.
Targeted Skill Sets
Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency or a strong desire to learn in the following areas:
Electronic Hardware Handling: Safe handling and cleaning of laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Software Imaging & Loading: Installing OS, firmware updates, and customer-specific applications.
Diagnostic Testing: Performing functional "power-on" tests and battery health checks.
Technical Quality Control: High-attention-to-detail inspections to ensure devices meet "like-new" standards.
Post-Production Logistics: Industrial packaging, kitting, and serialized labeling.
Key Responsibilities
Device Diagnostics: Inspect incoming hardware for physical damage and perform functional testing to ensure internal components are operational.
Technical Configuration: Load software packages and configure network settings based on custom client specifications.
Battery Management: Test, charge, and replace battery units to ensure 100% device readiness.
Refurbishment & Aesthetics: Clean and detail devices to maintain high-quality appearance standards before they reach the end user.
Precision Packaging: Repackage devices using specialized materials to prevent transit damage and ensure professional presentation.
Documentation & Tracking: Log all work, test results, and configuration settings into the system; assist with inventory tracking and parts usage.
Collaboration: Work closely with Project Leads to identify, log, and escalate any technical discrepancies or hardware failures.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a sterile, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and company protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Aptitude: Experience with electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, PCs) or a background in technical repair is highly preferred.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to follow complex, written technical instructions and "build guides" with 100% accuracy.
Instructional Following: Ability to pivot between different project requirements and verbal directions quickly.
Reliability: Commitment to the 2nd shift schedule and a professional, team-oriented work ethic.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for the duration of the shift and working in a fast-paced production environment.
