Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the company's financial operations, including:
- Assisting with the month-end close process, including journal entries, inventory, WIP reconciliations, and roll forwards.
- Supporting the monthly cash flow forecast for all capital projects.
- Coordinating with project managers and property accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Creating fixed assets and generating transfers to inventory.
- Providing variance explanations for P&L reporting.
- Utilizing strong Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Staff Accountant
To excel in this role, the ideal Senior Staff Accountant will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Construction industry experience (preferred).
