Assembler II SVC at TSI
An Assembler II is proficient at building or repairing assigned instruments, with the skills to perform duties in multiple production areas or cells as required. This level requires a minimum amount of supervision and daily instruction. Assembler II may be assigned to mechanical assembly, sensor mounts, new build, or service responsibilities. This level also requires routinely interfacing with employees from other departments including technicians and engineers. A majority of the assemblers will fall into this level. Employees will be required to meet specific objectives and/or gain additional skills before moving to an Assembler III. Some employees at this level may be considered as future candidates for a Manufacturing Lead.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
- Performs complex assembly, rework, and/or service operations.
- Work together with assigned group to complete production orders by the expected date.
- Perform calibrations and variables testing requiring judgment to assure conformance to specifications.
- May sign off for certification of instruments.
- In depth troubleshooting, problem solving, and investigative work. This may require making suggestions to engineers.
- Work from CAD drawings or VisioPRo Pictures as required.
- Communicate with other TSI departments regarding material shortages, shipment deadlines, and customer order status.
- Work with engineers to build prototype work when required.
- Assist leads in the introduction of new/revised process to the manufacturing systems and addressing and implementing corrective actions.
- Actively participate in process improvement and recommend changes to manufacturing procedures.
- Train other assemblers on more complicated procedures in the work area.
- Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience
- Must have successfully performed all the duties and responsibilities of an Assembler I.
- Has demonstrated a strong commitment to process improvement and embracing change.
- Is able to build or service more than one assembly with little or no direction
Desired
Knowledge
- Ability to work from complicated drawings and procedures.
- Strong computer skills including the ability to check reports and record information in SAP.
- Ability to train others on more complex procedures and assemblies.
- Strong math, reading, writing and reasoning skills.

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $42,640- $47,840 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
