About the Role
Kitsap Credit Union is in search of a Centralized Lending Funding Associate. The Centralized Lending Funding Specialist is responsible for guiding members through the final stages of their consumer loan application process, including signature loans/lines of credit, auto loans, personal loans, and credit cards. This role ensures all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently, validates contract details, identifies cross-sell opportunities, and presents final loan options to members. The specialist prepares and sends final documents for signature, reviews signed documents for quality control, and books and funds loans to the core system.

Salary Range: $26.47 - $33.09/hour depending on experience
Bonus Target: 5% potential incentive of base pay
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Interact directly with members to finalize consumer loan applications, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation for consumer lending products (signature loan/line of credit, auto loan, personal loan, credit card).
- Validate contract numbers and loan details for accuracy and compliance.
- Discover and present cross-sell opportunities, including loan upgrades and ancillary products (GAP, Service Contracts, Maintenance, etc.).
- Deliver a clear and comprehensive final presentation of loan options to members.
- Prepare and send final loan documents for member signature.
- Review signed documents for quality control and compliance with lending regulations.
- Accurately book and fund loans to the member’s account in the core system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending compliance regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate effectively with members, team members, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure timely funding.
- Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in completing loan documentation and funding processes.
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to continuous process improvement.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply lending compliance regulations.
- Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Demonstrates a high level of engagement and active collaboration contributing to a positive team environment.
- Understand, model, and represent KCU’s core values.
Required Qualifications and Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in consumer lending, loan funding, or related financial services role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lending compliance regulations and documentation requirements.
- Experience in direct member/customer service.
Preferred Qualifications and Education
- Three or more years’ experience in consumer lending or loan funding at a credit union or financial institution.
- Experience with cross-selling financial products and services.
- Familiarity with Kitsap Credit Union lending systems and procedures.
SUPERVISORY STATUS
This position does not supervise others.
Working conditions
This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines
- Occasionally ascends/descends stairs
- Constantly positions self in work environment
- The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions
- Must be able to detect objects at a distance
- On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects
- Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions
