Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and support of AS400-based applications, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet business needs. This role focuses on application development and support, not OS administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging using RPG, COBOL, CL, and DB2.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in AS400 systems.
- Optimize and enhance existing applications for performance and scalability.
- Document technical specifications and maintain system integrity.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with AS400/iSeries development.
- Proficiency in RPG (including RPGLE), COBOL, CL, and DB2.
- Ability to perform application development and support (excluding OS management).
- Experience in analyzing and resolving technical issues in AS400 environments.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of CA Plex is a strong advantage.
- Experience in modernization projects or integration with other platforms.
