Position Summary:
The RESPA Specialist ensures new loan registration is accurate and complies with company policy and Federal and State regulations at the time of the mortgage loan application.
The team will send initial disclosures before submission to Underwriting. The team will be responsible for re-disclosures in compliance with TRID rules set out by the CFPB.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the entire RESPA Specialist function, including clearing all relevant tasks as well as all customer service dialogue with relevant parties.
- Review new loan registrations for accuracy.
- Ensure the loan is compliant, resolve Compliance Ease Fails, and disclose within the proper timelines.
- Verbal and written correspondence with all parties.
- Re-Disclose the loan within proper timelines.
- Ensure all fees, taxes, and insurance are disclosed within state/federal guidelines.
- Follow TRID rules set out by the CFPB.
- Determine valid changes of circumstance.
- Aids RESPA Team Lead and Team Manager with rush requests or priorities and complete them in a timely manner.
- Threshold requirements: 10 initial disclosures and 12 revised.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience in the mortgage industry.
- Strong knowledge in “A” Paper, FNMA/FHLMC, FHA/VA, USDA, and Bond programs required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay Disclosure:
The starting base pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour, non-exempt and eligible for overtime. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
