Carpenter Foreperson to join the already awesome team, taking the Maintenance and Operations Department to the next level of excellence!WHAT MAKES

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DOThe ideal candidate performs supervisory functions related to the construction and maintenance of structural woodwork, furniture, etc. In addition to supporting the department, the
Carpenter Foreperson will also:
- Coordinates work activities of carpenters.
- Ensures that the materials are available for the assigned projects.
- Estimates cost and completion time for projects.
- Repairs and maintains doors, cabinets, bookcases, floors, and other structures.
- Installs doors, windows, tiles, floors, ceilings, etc.
- Performs bench work in the carpentry shop.
- Builds and repairs desks, tables, chairs, bookcases, etc.
- Builds room partitions and other structures.
- Studies blueprints and building plans to determine the materials needed and the dimensions of structures.
- Marks cutting and assembly lines on the materials; shape the material to prescribed measurements.
- Assembles, cuts, and shapes the materials and fastens them together.
- Erects frameworks for structures and lays sub-flooring.
- Applies decorative material to walls and ceilings.
- Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
- Instructs others in the proper use of tools used in the carpentry trade.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:- Technical or vocational degree and three years of experience, including one year of lead worker or supervisory experience; or a high school diploma or GED and five years of experience, including two years of lead worker or supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:- Knowledge of equipment, practices, and procedures of the carpentry trade.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools of the carpentry trade.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to access confined spaces.
- A valid GA Driver’s License
