We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in network hardware, be hands-on with installations, and be able to support the IT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment.
- Design, install, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across multiple facilities.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (Cisco, Ubiquiti, etc.).
- Troubleshoot network and hardware issues and outages; perform root cause analysis and documentation.
- Maintain and upgrade network hardware, including servers, cabling, and patch panels.
- Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and regular system monitoring.
- Collaborate with the IT and Operations teams to ensure smooth system integration across production lines and office environments.
- Provide on-site and remote support for users and critical production systems.
- Monitor network performance and implement changes for optimization.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing or enterprise environment.
- Strong hardware experience required: experience with server racks, cabling, routers, switches, access points, and UPS systems.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, etc.).
- Experience with firewalls and security appliances (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or similar).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and Windows Server environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial networking for manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Microsoft, Fortinet, or Ubiquiti certifications are a plus
