Responsibilities
As the Health Insurance Claims Adjuster, you'll review previously processed claims and make adjustments after investigating issues or errors.
- Research and review assigned claims by navigating multiple platforms capturing the data/information necessary for processing.
- Communicate regarding adjustments to resolve claims errors.
- Complete necessary adjustments to claims and ensure the proper benefits are applied to each claim by using appropriate processes and procedures.
- Read and assess applicable medical documents.
- Process and adjudicate medical claims.
- Communicate information with a broad audience to support applicable procedures.
- Strong knowledge of health claim insurance.
- Strong knowledge of FACETS.
Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
Additional Preferences:
- Facets experience a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years Medicaid claims experience, preferred
- Anthem and Blue Cross Blue Shield claim insurance processing (medical, dental and vision) experience, required.
