We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Bid Writer (Transport Infrastructure) to join our dynamic Work Winning team.
As a Permanent Bid Writer in Highways and Rail infrastructure for Amey, you’ll help secure new projects by creating clear, compelling bids and proposals. You’ll work closely with the Bid Director, Head of Proposals, Bid Manager, and Proposals Manager, supporting them in developing responses that showcase Amey’s strengths.
This role is key to producing high-quality submissions that meet client requirements and boost our chances of success. Your writing will bring together expert input and persuasive content, helping us win more work.
You’ll join an ambitious, growing team focused on expanding our impact and delivering excellence in highways and rail.
The standard working hours are 37.5 per week remotely, with travel to the IDH Birmingham office or bid locations for team meetings as needed.

Work under the guidance of the Bid Director, Head of Proposals, Bid Manager, and Proposals Manager to produce high-quality, consistent, and persuasive bid responses reflecting Amey’s tone and win themes.

Work as a writer on PQQs and bids, drafting content from scratch and editing material produced by others to ensure it is clear, concise, and understandable ("Plain English").
Bids can vary in size and scope, fast or slow, alone or with partners.
Values range from £50k to over £1bn.
