Nova Group GBC is seeking a full-time Zoning Research Assistant in our Zoning Group. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of zoning Experience in an office environment and be highly organized, detailed, and self-managed.
Job Description:
- Facilitate the prompt acquisition of documents and responses from municipalities to ensure we consistently meet our clients' deadlines
- Efficiently acquire, diligently track, and expertly manage your documents while ensuring their accuracy for optimal results
- Obtain required documents through communications with municipalities nationwide through various channels, including telephone, email, and online portals
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate the efficient completion of tasks, ultimately producing high-quality reports
- Manage databases, logs, and spreadsheets effectively to streamline workload and enhance productivity
- Efficiently gather documents through various channels, including phone, internet, email, and written communication
- Conduct thorough internet-based research using GIS Maps, online property files, and Zoning Ordinances.
- Skillfully draft and compose correspondence to managers and municipalities as required
- Proactively request property records and follow up diligently until project completion
- Perform data entry with accuracy, ensuring compliance with established formats and guidelines
- Update databases to accurately document communications pertaining to projects and municipal procedures
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat) and skilled in internet research for efficient information retrieval
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documents
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment to achieve goals
- Flexible availability before and/or after normal business hours to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with land use and zoning principles and the ability to read zoning ordinances and ALTA surveys are beneficial but not required
Compensation range: $40,000-$55,000 DOQE, plus Benefits
