THE ROLE
The Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for providing product expertise to the Sales team and the sales process. This person performs all product demonstrations to prospects in order to ensure full functionality is demonstrated and accuracy in representation is maintained. The Application Consultant will also serve as the subject matter expert for the sales team when it comes to all functionality related to our solutions. The Application Consultant will need to become proficient in all Aptech’s current solutions including all connected systems and how they work. This position will report directly to the VP of Sales.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage RFI/RFP responses
- Conduct All System Demonstrations
- Participate in discovery/strategy discussions with new and existing customers around all Aptech solutions and products
- Offer an additional level of support for the sales team, at times acting as a liaison between Product Development and the Customer, as well as Support and the Customer
- Work with Product Management and Development to stay up to date on all new features, functionality, and new development
- Assist high-risk clients when necessary
- Contribute knowledge and expertise on special projects
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hotel Operations Experience
- Knowledge of Back Office, BI and Budgeting systems
- Experience with PVNG, ExecuVie and TargetVue is preferred
- Understanding of the Hospitality Industry
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Comfortable in front of an audience presenting highly technical solutions
- Ability to listen to what a customer/prospect needs and respond with a solution with a strong customer focused orientation
- Clearly articulate the value of technology as it relates to hotel operations
- Ability to learn on the fly and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity when facing new problems
- Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with high attention to detail in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
