Position Summary
At Ascend Medical, our Health Concierges are more than just schedulers — they are the first voice our patients hear and the front line of our mission to elevate mind, body, and soul. As a Health Concierge, you will play a critical role in delivering a compassionate, solution-oriented experience for every patient from the very first interaction.
This full-time, remote position supports patients by phone and digital channels, guiding them through scheduling, insurance verification, portal setup, and pre-visit preparation. You’ll work in a fast-paced, call center-style environment where empathy, accuracy, and problem-solving are essential. Certified or registered Medical Assistant credential is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Be the Voice of Ascend: Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression to every patient who contacts us.
- Own the First Touchpoint: Guide new patients through scheduling their first appointment and setting up their portal account.
- Solve with Empathy: Listen actively, understand patient needs, and offer solutions that ensure seamless access to care.
- Communicate Clearly: Verify insurance benefits, explain coverage and costs, and confidently navigate common billing questions.
- Coordinate Behind the Scenes: Document all interactions in our EHR (Athena) and Salesforce, and collaborate with clinical staff as needed to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Educate & Empower: Help patients understand how to get the most out of their Ascend care journey.
- Thrive in a Fast-Paced Environment: Manage a high volume of inbound calls from marketing campaigns, local events, and digital inquiries.

- Full-Time, Weekdays (Monday–Friday)
- Remote Work (Must reside in Georgia)

Requirements
Qualifications
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (Required)
- Experience in a medical office, call center, or other patient-facing healthcare environment
- Strong EHR and appointment scheduling skills
- Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes
- Professional and empathetic communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume setting
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability
- Understanding of clinic workflows, chronic conditions, and patient needs
