JOB SUMMARY:
The Employee Health Coordinator provides remote administrative and clinical support for the organization’s Employee Health, Workplace Safety, and Infection Control programs. This role focuses on monitoring compliance with programs such as the Respiratory Protection Program, Immunization Status Program, and employee health screening requirements, while also assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of workplace safety and infection prevention protocols. The Specialist ensures all activities are in alignment with current evidence-based guidance, OSHA, and other regulatory standards, supporting a safe and compliant work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Employee Health Program Monitoring
- Track, review, and maintain employee health records related to immunizations, titers, and required medical clearances.
- Coordinate and monitor annual Respiratory Protection Program requirements, including fit-testing records and medical evaluations.
- Coordinate and monitor annual Flu and COVID vaccination program.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding health requirements to ensure compliance with organizational policy and regulatory guidelines.
Workplace Safety & Infection Control
- Assist in designing, implementing, and monitoring infection control and workplace safety protocols in alignment with CDC, OSHA, and industry best practices.
- Assist with regular safety audits and environmental assessments at clinical sites, identifying and mitigating hazards or gaps in infection prevention.
- Provide support in emergency preparedness, including site-specific plans and training drills.
- Support clinical teams in outbreak response, exposure event management, and compliance with communicable disease reporting requirements.
Occupational Health Compliance
- Maintain confidential employee health files in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Assist in compiling reports for internal audits and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely follow-up on employee health incidents, exposure reports, and return-to-work documentation.
Administrative & Communication Support
- Consult with the Director of Workplace Safety on employee inquiries regarding occupational health, safety, and infection control requirements.
- Coordinate with HR, department managers, and healthcare providers regarding compliance.
- Accurately enter and update records in electronic health and tracking systems, as appropriate.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Certification or Registration preferred).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in occupational health, employee health, infection control, or related clinical/administrative healthcare role.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, infection control best practices, and workplace safety regulations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

Salary Description
$23.38 - $38.44/hr
