The Activation Representative in our Customer Boarding Department is the first point of contact with our newly approved merchants, providing them with their first impression of North. This role is responsible for training new merchant customers on how to activate their payment processing service from North. We're seeking an energetic, solution solving individual, who can assist our merchants with step by step installation of various processing equipment and explain equipment capabilities and functions. You will provide training, technical support and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the merchant credit card payment processing industry or experience providing merchant support in a call center environment.
What you'll do:
- Contact newly approved merchants and provide them step by step installation assistance for terminals, POS systems, and software
- Verify that the payment processing system and key functions are properly installed and programmed to process the first transaction
- Engage with Senior Activation Representative to help troubleshoot technical issues
- Payments HUB setup and training
- Schedule phone appointments for merchant installation assistance and follow up
- Perform end to end activation process for upgrade conversion work
- Ability to learn and understand applicable processing equipment, software and services that the organization offers
- Expand knowledge through internal resources, supervisors, fellow employees, company training, and trade publications
- Maintain a high degree of ethical behavior in all aspects of the daily business including relationships with merchants, Partners, and co-workers
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all NAB and TMS employees and departments by keeping a positive attitude and a collaborative focus in all interactions
- Manage and organize a high level of productivity through the effective use of all available resources including database systems and query reports.

- Accept and complete assignments with open, cooperative, positive, and team oriented attitudes
What we need from you:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Payment industry or relevant experience preferred
- Technical aptitude ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate feedback, information, and directions both verbally and written
- The ability to work at speed and with accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business needs
- Ability to problem solve and de-escalate upset customers

Hourly Pay Range: $16-$18.50
