Work From HomeWork From Home Work From Home, Indiana 46544The Engagement Center Specialist (ECS) is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and registering patient appointments, which may include office visits, ancillary testing and education. ECS acts as a first point of contact for patients/customers, and assists with matching patients' needs to an appropriate provider. The position is responsible for transitioning patient inquiries into a scheduled appointment. Through superior customer service, skills are utilized to proactively resolve patient concerns/issues. ECS is passionate in service to others, committed to advocating for patients, and displays a professional and caring demeanor. The ability to compassionately engage in conversation with patients on their responsibilities for copayment, prepayment and outstanding balances.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Act as a liaison to the patient/customer in obtaining physician referrals and scheduling appointments through primarily inbound calls.
- Identify additional opportunities to serve patient and/or family members with additional referrals/appointments during interactions.
- Support marketing campaigns through inbound patient calls, which may include scheduling appointments with provider for screenings, education or other promotions.
- Liaison to patients and family members to document, respond, escalate or resolve inquiries and/or complaints.
- Document appropriately in electronic medical record and other engagement center software.
- Support team with daily workloads, as required.
Position is work from home
Training will be remote or in Munster, IN.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
- 1 year Knowledge of health insurance Preferred
