Peer-to-Peer Support Specialist

The Peer-to-Peer Support Specialist will be responsible for non-clinical tasks related to the payor peer-to-peer workflow. Each day, you will contact payors to facilitate medical discussions regarding concurrent clinical denials. This position involves timely communication with payors to schedule and resolve peer-to-peer cases, as well as handling other non-clinical duties associated with the workflow and case resolution. To excel in this role, you will need strong documentation and communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently navigate multiple programs simultaneously.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Peer-to-Peer Support Specialist:
- Make initial contact with payors to coordinate payor peer-to-peer activities.
- Schedule follow-up calls with payors to resolve payor peer-to-peer cases.
- Manage workflow to promote timely and quality success for clients.
- Format appeals for submission to various payors.
- Submit appeals to various payors in accordance with specific facility protocols.
- Work on concurrent and post-bill denials using various methods, including calling payors, faxing, mailing, courier services, and online portals.
- Navigate the PAS portal, R1 software suite, and utilize other online tools/software and resources.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.88 - $25.51 per hour .
