What you'll do
In this dynamic role on AlixPartners' Corporate Services team, you will provide People general support by working closely with internal stakeholders and all People areas to ensure a seamless working experience to AlixPartners employees.
The People Generalist Role will work within a global matrix structure ensuring balance between the geographical, business community and wider team demands. Under this role, the candidate should prioritize a varied and demanding workload. Excellent attention to detail is a critical requirement of the role, as well as the ability to think strategically and creatively, sometimes acting upon your own initiative. In this role the candidate will need to anticipate the needs of the team and be confident as the People liaison communicating effectively with a remote audience and the senior stakeholder population.
An integrated approach to the following people activities is essential to embed a culture and working practices that support our strategy, by managing employee-related tasks, including general operations, engagement and reward, talent management, and learning. They also ensure that employees follow company policies and procedures. The role is a quintessential glue between majority of the US people operations and local operations.
The People Generalist role is based in Buenso Aires, Argentina, reporting to a People Business Partner Director.
Key Responsibilities:
People operations fronting for the Buenos Aires office population, supporting them with all people matters.
Build new or enhance processes and ways of working as required to continue to drive the local People function forward and ensure scalability of the function as the firm grows.
Work closely with other People functions within the firm, advising on the best approach for different scenarios (Flexible work agreements, leavers, joiners, ER scenarios, sickness etc.), and implementing the appropriate approach in Argentina.
Management of core HR processes including maternity leave, paternity leave, shared parental leave, flexible working, probation, sickness, absence, total reward statements, and benefits.
Project work within the Argentina People team, Americas People teams or with the business as required.
Management of on and off boarding, working with the appropriate departments to ensure a professional transition for candidates and colleagues both in and out of the firm.
Utilize technical and analytical skills in providing data from Oracle and other sources, using data to support efficient decision making.
Manage and drive the integration and maintenance of current and new HR policies, procedures and the Global HR systems. Ensure compliance through document integrity and best practice across the People team.
Drive the benefits review process for current and subsequent years ensuring the benefits renewal process/ lifecycle runs smoothly and appropriate reporting, data and insight is considered. Local benchmarking and benefits implementation.
Deliver appropriate solutions by working with internal resources and external vendors, partnering with the Americas Learning and Development team to include our local population in global programs.
Content creation and presentations using word, Excel and PowerPoint, and leveraging AI tools such as Copilot.
Support on guiding current employees on their questions related to local Payroll procedures.
Support on gathering local compensation data to ensure the most accurate compensation programs.
Support during Talent Management and Talent Acquisition processes as needed.

What you'll need
Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of HR experience, ideally in a professional services firms and/or IT environments.
Organized workstyle: effectively manages and prioritizes workload, high attention to detail, assumes and manages multiple tasks without close supervision, adapts to change, and consistently meets deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Exhibits the highest degree of integrity and understanding of the confidentiality of the information.
Experienced and comfortable working and communicating directly with senior executives and professional staff.
Proactive, self-starter and understands the urgency and confidentiality of the People function.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRMs (Oracle preferred).
Analytical; capable of developing and managing related reports and metrics.
Strong problem-solving skill.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
Core working hours are generally 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal Buenos Aires business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
