We are GDIT. The people supporting and securing some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country. We are currently seeking a seasoned CICS Developer to support application processing requirements.

Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using tools specific to the project or the area
Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Required:
5+ years of experience in CICS systems programming, working knowledge and understanding of DB2, SQL, JCL, CICS
Technical Skills:
Programming Languages: Proficiency in COBOL is essential
Mainframe Technologies: Experience with CICS, JCL (Job Control Language), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), and DB2.
Tools and Utilities: Familiarity with IBM utilities and debugging tools.
Skills and Abilities:
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and CICS.
Perform analysis, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of mainframe software applications.
Support the integration of CICS systems with other enterprise applications and services.
Work with IBM utilities, supporting their installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Provide application programming support and user troubleshooting for CICS applications.
Ensure high-quality documentation of all CICS application configurations, changes, and incidents.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal system performance.
Trouble shoot issues, triage, diagnose, and provide root cause analysis of CICS application software issues, CICS configurations, or CICS software-related problems.
Interact with client and other vendor resources to support the State's mission
Attend scrum meetings as assigned working across the extended team
Experience or exposure to healthcare and/or Medicaid Information Managements domains a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support rotations, as required.
Location: Hybrid, based in Sacramento, CA. Expect to be in the office 1-4 days a week.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,862 - $162,166. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
