Job Summary
Provide management and oversight of Grid Control Technology activities and lab team. Responsible for the technical execution of the Grid Technology portfolio release schedule. Responsible for the Grid Technology lab. Manage team responsible for device monitoring and network performance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide safety leadership by exemplifying strong safety culture for others to follow Responsible for testing and development activities in the Grid Technology (GT) lab.
Supervise and coordinate activities of staff, monitoring workload and prioritizing resources as needed to meet GT initiatives and other associated program commitments, and provide 24/7 engineering support for operations.
Responsible for identification of requirements, processes, and solutions development associated with the Grid Technology and use case release schedule.
Responsible for establishing monitoring systems and processes for T&D controlled SCADA devices and associated Communication Network including reporting performance associated with system devices.
Maintain solutions for T&D device integration, control, and communications including Distributed Generation (DG) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER).
Serves as the primary contact for the Grids, T&D, and Project Development for settings, configuration evaluations, and control system solutions. Responds to proposals and estimates for studies, customer requests, maintenance and potential solutions. Serves as the technical expert in automation, settings and control-related issues for the T&D system. Provides technical assistance and guidance for field operations.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum experience required of the position
6-8 Years relative work experience
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Professional Engineering license (will vary state by state on requirements; higher management having PE could eliminate the need at lower level
