Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality learning design, is actively seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, manage, and implement various automated solutions relating to infrastructure, web applications, locally deployed code, and AWS cloud services. This role will work closely with developers and vendors to achieve automation goals for a growing fleet of global, location-based VR sites remotely.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of DevOps engineers and architects to implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
- Take ownership of projects, proactively driving initiatives from concept to completion in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Design, monitor, and manage critical operational systems.
- Automate processes wherever possible to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Provide guidance on infrastructure and code-related decisions.
- Install, integrate, and maintain development productivity tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, Jira, source control).
- Implement monitoring solutions to track performance and detect issues proactively.
- Maintain and enhance documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and remote maintenance as needed.
- Continuously refine processes to foster a culture of quality, reliability, and rapid response.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience
- 5+ years working DevOps in an operational environment
- Ability to design full architecture based on a list of requirements
- Extensive Experience with software: GitLab, Git, Prometheus, Grafana,
- Experience with OSes: Windows, Linux, ESXi
- Expert scripting skills using programming languages such as: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform
- AWS Experience in systems such as EC2, VPC, Load balancers, S3, RDS, Lambda, SSM, etc.
- Experience with High-Availability Database technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Extensive Experience with Monitoring Platforms such as Prometheus
- Experience with Workflow Support platforms such as Jira, Zendesk,
- Understanding of middleware, proxies and application integration
- Understanding of networking (load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, SSL Certificates etc.)
- Excellent collaboration, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Experience with Mobile Application Deployment
- Experience with Virtualization technologies (vCenter, KVM, Nutanix)
