As the Director of Bucks LIFE, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our program and community impact by providing supervision, support, and training to our dedicated team. You will oversee referral processes, data collection, and ensure compliance with regulatory and grant requirements. Your leadership will drive collaborations, social networking initiatives, and the development of training resources, newsletters, and events.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Bucks LIFE:
- Program Operations: Lead intake processes, track utilization, and gather outcomes. Assign cases to family support specialists and maintain a database of collaborative partners and families. Review cases to ensure program objectives are met and oversee team meetings and site supervision.
- Community Engagement: Perform outreach and build collaborations within Bucks County. Plan and schedule training/workshops, attend multi-system complex team meetings, and manage resources for families and professionals.
- Personnel Management: Demonstrate accountability and authentic leadership through action as a supervisor of all Bucks LIFE staff; Interview and hire prospective employees and provide orientation and ongoing training. Oversee interns and volunteers and management of office facilities.
- Hybrid Work Opportunity: This role qualifies for hybrid remote work, subject to performance and program requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, education, or a related field (relevant work experience may be considered in place of education).
- Experience: Three years of related work experience with increasing supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of various disabilities; Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to work independently, and also inspire, effectively interact with, and lead a team. Proficiency in workplace applications and technologies.
Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Utilize desktop computer equipment on a daily basis.
- Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.).
- Routinely travel to offsite locations and regional office locations as necessary.
- May require same physical and lifting requirements as an employee who regularly provides direct care should they be needed to assist.
