Aviation Reliability Data Analyst

The Aviation Reliability Data Analyst will analyze maintenance and supply chain data to improve operational efficiency, enhance safety, and support data driven decision-making. This role ensures that aircraft maintenance activities are properly supported by providing fact-based analytics to maintenance leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret aircraft maintenance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in aircraft reliability and supply chain.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on maintenance reliability metrics, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, logistics, and management, to provide data-driven recommendations that enhance maintenance processes, supply chain performance, and aircraft reliability. Work with subject matter experts, process stake holders, and data stewards to implement data collection best practices.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations of maintenance-related issues, utilizing data to identify root causes and propose corrective actions. Identify trends related to maintenance human factors.
- Compliance: Ensure that all analyses and recommendations align with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices in data analysis and maintenance reliability. Present statistical data to maintenance trainers and safety for improvement of maintenance training programs and identified risks.
- Training: Provide training and support to maintenance staff on data interpretation and reliability tools.
- Reporting Administration: Work closely with reporting system administrators to publish enterprise analytical reports.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Aviation Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science; or 8 + years relevant experience in maintenance operations, quality assurance, aviation safety, or aviation data analysis.
- Microsoft Certified Data Analyst (PL-300), FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or completion of an aviation Military Occupational Specialty school strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Power BI, Excel). Conceptual understanding of databases and data schemas. Experience with statistical and data visualization software is a plus. Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance, Safety Management, Flight Operations Systems.
