General Summary of Position
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is actively recruiting for a patient-focused Clinical Pharmacist I to join our oncology pharmacy team in Washington, DC. Prior oncology experience is preferred. This position will primarily be evening shift but there will be some rotating shifts (days, evenings and weekends).
Provides pharmaceutical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a more senior clinical pharmacist/manager. Evaluates and interprets physician orders and dispenses medication and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established operational procedures, professional standards or practice as well as state and district and Federal laws.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Doctoral degree PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy or equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
Experience
- 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required
- PGY-1 preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- RPH - Registered Pharmacist Licensure in Washington, DC required
- Board certification preferred

technical, clinical or administrative problems
