Salary Range: $20-25 based on experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Cash Support Specialist is primarily responsible for cash applications daily PDF imaging review and distribution, cash research, money moves, and unapplied cash research.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and to function as a member of a team.
- Computer experience, data entry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret Medical Remittance Advice or Explanation of Benefits.
- Cash posting experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Daily retrieval, classification and distribution of denials and offset remittances to the cash applications team.
- Daily retrieval of remittance or supporting documentation to backup daily deposits for posting.
- Assist with research requests and money moves.
- Call or email payers to research unidentified cash deposits.
- Backup cash poster, as needed.
- Other various duties, as assigned.
