The Live Production Specialist, reporting to the VP of Brand, will oversee the management of live events broadcast, presented, recorded, or streamed in real time. This role requires extensive expertise in planning and producing diverse live event formats, ensuring seamless content delivery to both virtual and in-person audiences. The Specialist will possess a deep understanding of the technical and logistical challenges of live production, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues in real time, and minimizing disruptions.
Pre-Production and Event Planning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define production scope.
- Create equipment lists, timelines, schedules, and show rundowns.
- Coordinate with content producers and graphic designers to develop preproduced elements such as videos, virtual effects, and graphics.
- Set up venue for live production, including cameras, lighting, audio, and monitoring.
- Prepare in-person and remote talent for live participation.
- Develop automated processes to simplify tedious production tasks
- Ready production systems and test distribution platforms for live production.
Live Event Production
- Serve as the technical director for live events, directing and switching live feeds to create high-quality output.
- Collaborate effectively with local and remote production teams.
- Identify and resolve technical issues swiftly to minimize disruptions during live productions.
- Oversee recording of live feeds for on-demand distribution and post-production editing.
Content Creation
- Develop templates for distribution to internal teams and external partners for demonstrations and regional productions.
- Work with stakeholders to explore new processes and workflows to increase creative output.
Professional Development
- Deepen knowledge of current and emerging video production technologies, such as HDR, Spatial Audio, and Virtual Reality.
- Enroll in and complete courses for Vizrt products.
- Research trends in audience consumption of video content.
- Develop expertise in crafting compelling visuals and integrating creative elements like motion graphics, augmented reality, and interactivity
- Enhance team direction and collaborative abilities through workshops or courses.
- 3+ years of related experience in a corporate, creative, or media agency setting
- TriCaster certified operator
- Knowledge of conferencing technologies like Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with members of the marketing organization and other stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
