Spiritual Advisor | Guide Women Through Caregiving, Recovery, and End-of-Life Transitions
Freelance | Remote | Flexible Schedule
About Sam
The U.S. does not have a support system for women—so we are building one.
Launching in April 2025, Sam is a high-caliber, evidence-based support system designed for the complexities of life’s transitions. Our experts provide one-on-one guidance, curated resources, and a private, women-only community.
At Sam, we understand that during life’s most difficult moments—caring for a loved one, facing a serious illness, recovering from loss, or preparing for the end of life—women often seek spiritual grounding, meaning, and emotional support.
Who You Will Work With
As a Spiritual Advisor at Sam, you will provide support for:
- Women caring for aging or terminally ill loved ones who need emotional and spiritual guidance through the caregiving process.
- Women facing a new or advanced diagnosis who are seeking comfort, resilience, and meaning as they navigate uncertainty.
- Women processing grief and loss, whether from a loved one’s passing, a major life change, or the loss of health and identity.
- Women in recovery from trauma, illness, or personal hardship who want to rebuild a sense of purpose and inner peace.
- Women experiencing a crisis of faith as they struggle to reconcile their beliefs with life’s challenges.
Your role is not to teach doctrine or provide religious instruction. Instead, you will offer compassionate spiritual guidance, reflective listening, and meaning-making support based on each client’s needs and beliefs.
What You Will Do
- Guide clients through end-of-life considerations—helping them find peace, acceptance, and closure.
- Support caregivers who feel emotionally and spiritually drained, helping them navigate the burden of responsibility.
- Help women explore their spiritual identity after illness, grief, or personal transformation.
- Offer non-judgmental, faith-sensitive support for those struggling with existential questions, loss, or uncertainty.
- Encourage practices for peace and resilience, such as meditation, prayer, or mindfulness, tailored to the client’s beliefs.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experienced spiritual leaders from diverse traditions, including rabbis, chaplains, clergy, interfaith ministers, and spiritual advisors.
- Five or more years of experience providing spiritual support in caregiving, end-of-life, hospice, or recovery settings.
- A nonjudgmental, compassionate approach that respects diverse belief systems.
- Strong active listening and trauma-informed care skills.
- Excellent communication and virtual support experience.
Important Considerations
- This is not a clinical therapy or medical role. Spiritual Advisors do not provide psychological therapy, crisis intervention, or medical advice.
- Advisors must respect and support each client’s belief system, offering guidance that aligns with their personal values.
- Confidentiality and ethical boundaries must be maintained at all times.
Why Join Sam?
- Work with a built-in client base—no marketing or client hunting needed.
- Set your own rates and schedule while working remotely.
- Collaborate with experts in caregiving, personal development, and wellness to provide holistic support.
- Be part of a mission-driven platform designed to provide women with high-caliber, meaningful support.
