Position Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology Services (ITS), the Program Coordinator - Information Technology Services is responsible for coordinating the execution and documentation of technology solutions, technology procurement, ITS operations, and technology training using specific knowledge and experience.
As the Program Coordinator - Information Technology Services, it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily: a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.
The role also involves managing and facilitating departmental purchasing, inventory management, instructional documentation, departmental communications, and updating departmental websites and SharePoint sites. The position requires independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations, as well as advising students, staff, program participants, and/or the public regarding program content, policies, procedures, and activities.

Initial Salary: Range 40: $3,477.00 - $3,910.00 Monthly DOE, + KCPP (King County Premium Pay)

Essential Duties
Technology Solutions
Support the IT Services Team in documenting technology solution configurations, dependencies, and maintenance schedules.
Participate in project meetings; take notes, document action items, and enter service requests or work orders.
Generate reports or metrics related to the reliability of campus technology solutions.
Technology Procurement
Assist the Information Technology Services Team with purchase-related tasks, including entering purchase requisitions into ctcLink, following up on the status of purchase orders, and ensuring that all technology is received as expected.
Coordinate with other campus departments to ensure that technology procurement aligns with state and college policies.
Ensure that all received technology is properly inventoried and tagged before deployment.
Maintain a list of standard technology solutions approved for campus use (e.g., standard laptop configurations, standard webcams).
Review all technology purchases for compliance with college accessibility and contract/purchasing policies.
Technology Training
Develop and maintain WCAG 2.1 AA compliant instructional materials or videos for students and employees.
Plan an annual schedule for recurring technology training sessions.
Organize new training sessions based on campus needs, coordinating with ITS team members or conducting the training yourself when necessary.
ITS Operations
Develop, update, and maintain procedural documents to align with ITS policies.
Other related duties as assigned.
Ensure that ITS websites and SharePoint sites contain accurate and timely information.
Prepare and distribute communications from ITS regarding service outages, updates, or changes.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of supplies such as toner, waste containers, paper, and other office necessities to maintain agreed-upon quantities.
Receive, verify, and process departmental invoices.
Provide periodic administrative support to the Director of ITS, including calendar management and travel arrangements.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent AND 1-2 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with current Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, telephone, email, and other people facing customer service skills and ability.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and determine priorities.
Demonstrated commitment to and interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a multicultural workplace and educational environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher level of education.
Experience with WA ctcLink system or purchasing experience.
Training or experience in creating fully accessible documents using Microsoft Word and/or Adobe Acrobat.
Experience in information technology
Experience working in higher education.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to successfully communicate (written and orally) in a language in addition to English.
Terms of Employment
This is a Full-time, twelve-month Classified position. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday; may include occasional evening responsibilities. The position is allocated to pay Range 40 under the Higher Education Salary Schedule. Initial salary placement is between the ranges of $3,477.00 - $3,910.00 per month, with yearly step increases to the maximum salary of $4,632.00 (Step M) per month (not including the 5% King County Premium Pay). This is a represented position.
Cascadia College employees receive a 5% King County Premium Pay in addition to base salary for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.
This position has been designated as a bargaining unit by the Washington Public Employees Association. Following a successful probationary/trial service period, employee attain permanent status.

Physical Work Environment
Semi-Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full-time employees are expected to be on-campus at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely for the remainder of their working days. Employees will need to provide their own remote workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. During on-campus operations, this position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means.
Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing, and repetitive motions.
This position involves exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
