Based in San Diego, California, our content creation & digital marketing agency specializes in the beauty, health, and wellness industry and offers 360 marketing services, including social media marketing, content creation, influencer marketing, paid digital media, creative development, email marketing, and website development.
We look at the digital space with a wide-angle lens — making us uniquely qualified to expand and elevate our client’s digital reach while delivering consistency across performance marketing, social marketing, influencer marketing, email marketing and CRM.
With over $17M in revenue, the current team is over 80 people. Top clients include Jergens, Bio-Oil, Rimmel, Olaplex, and JLo Beauty.
The San Diego office also has its own studio for shoots, which is a key part of the client offering, developing ongoing social content, email marketing assets, social and streaming ads, photography and video for everything from evergreen messages to product launches.

We are seeking a results-driven Email Marketing Strategist to oversee and execute email campaigns that engage, nurture, and convert target audiences into loyal customers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies, analyzing campaign performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful email content. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a data-driven mindset, a deep understanding of email marketing tools, and a passion for driving customer engagement through effective communication. The Retention Marketing Specialist reports to the Retention Marketing Manager / eCommerce Department. This is a highly visible role, requiring regular communication with clients, departments across the organization, as well as with senior leadership.
YOUR TASKS:
No day is the same-you will help manage our clients’ retention programs end-to-end, from concept to deployment to performance analysis.
QA the email copy and designs to ensure they are aligned with best practices and meet the individual needs of that particular client.
Segment and manage email lists, ensuring accurate targeting and personalized communication based on customer demographics, preferences and behavior.
- Identifying opportunities for email optimization and implementing A/B testing to optimize subject lines, messaging, and call-to-action strategies.
- Report and monitor email automation and campaign key performance indicators (KPIs), such as email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversions and ROI.
- Stay updated with the industry trends and the best practices in email marketing to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing retention strategies for clients to increase customer lifetime value and loyalty.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as an email/SMS marketer or a marketing role - Agency experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices, deliverability, GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance, and audience segmentation.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms - Klaviyo, Attentive, and Pardot experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop for image resizing and programming; Figma experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Google Analytics.
- Google Suite (primarily Google Docs, Slides and Sheets)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an analytical mindset to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging email content.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Passion for the beauty, health, and wellness industries is a plus!
Preferred Skills:
- Outstanding copywriting and editing skills to craft engaging email content.
- Familiarity with CRM integration systems and customer segmentation.
- Understanding of email deliverability and reputation management.
- Knowledge of email personalisation and dynamic content strategies.
- Relevant certification in email marketing or related fields.
