A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Leisure Travel Manager
The Auto Club Group is seeking a prospective Leisure Travel Manager who supervises activities and personnel within the Leisure Travel Air Desk, in order to maintain a high level of sales and cost effective service to clients. You will be challenged to drive new business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club Groups 13+ million members.
- Ensures the profitability and growth of the department by reviewing agent productivity and setting goals.
- Directs office sales and service efforts to increase travel agency sales staff volume and increase preferred vendor sales.
- Monitors and controls income and expenses.
- Maintains relationship with branch and call center leadership to ensure excellent service levels.
- Assists in settling customer problems and complaints by contacting airlines, car rentals, hotels, insurance, internal ACG departments and other vendors to ensure appropriate action is taken on client’s behalf.
- Measures productivity and service levels of Travel Counselors.
- Drive efficiencies to improve productivity and reduce costs across all processes and practices.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO
Required Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work experience
- Experience selling, planning and booking domestic and international travel itineraries to include:
- Computerized airline ticketing, hotels, car rentals and related Travel products
- Computerized reservation systems equipment
- High volume telephone travel sales environment
- Selling Travel Insurance
Successful candidates will possess:
Knowledge of:
- Basic sales techniques
- Motivational training techniques
- Market availability of travel products
- Travel conditions including customs, immigration and inoculation requirements, hygienic
- Practices, political situations, monetary restrictions, and cancellation/change penalties
- Travel regulations including A.R.C. (Airline Reporting Corporation), I.A.T.A.N.
- (International Association of Travel Agency Network)
- Global Travel Entry Requirements & Protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years selling air, car and hotel reservations
- Prior Leisure or Corporate Air Desk Travel experience
- Previous Travel Leadership experience
Work Environment
- Works in remote/virtual environment. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
