The Perioperative Circulator is a RN who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures.The nurse will be accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to patients within the perioperative environment utilizing the nursing process.Individualizes patient care according to patient’s health status, age level, and surgery/procedure being performed.
Job Requirements
Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute operating room environment.Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.Excellent understanding of AORN Standards.Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing excellent specialized care.
