They are the key enabling technologies which support our partners’ strategies by accurately and reliably providing the data & metrics they need in order for their programs to be successful.
We are looking for a people-person to join our team in Boston as the US HR Manager to help us bring Withings revolutionary products to the world. This position will be a critical support to our US workforce, managing compensation and benefits, taking part in recruiting efforts, coordinating internal events and communications, and providing the tools and other resources needed for all of our operations.
As the HR Manager you will be the US representative of Withings HR team, a crucial link connecting teams which span France, the United States, and Hong Kong, and you will work closely with counterparts in Finance to manage the business of the US corporate office. Through this role, you will interact with everyone in the company in some way, helping remove obstacles to their productivity and looking after the happiness and satisfaction of the workforce.
This is a high-responsibility role within a highly strategic division, and we are looking for extremely motivated individuals who want to have hands-on experience with the US office growth. This position reports to the Global Chief Human Resource officer and will manage one local HR Specialist and IT/office Intern.
Mission
- Create an engaging, animated, and productive work environment for US based Withingers in partnership with a global HR team
- Be a Strategic Business Partner: Work with business leaders across our offices to manage and implement people strategies that align with business goals.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on all topics related to US employment in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices
- Manage and administer programs across the employee lifecycle including: recruitment, onboarding, HRIS/payroll, exiting, employee communications and engagement.
- Proven ability to deliver on solutions: examine for root causes, foster creative solutions, and deliver strategies that address complex organizational challenges
- Manage health, dental and vision, 401k, disability, worker’s comp, and other insurance benefits. Must have owned at least one employee open enrollment.
- Manage US facilities, including IT & business service contracts, lease, insurance, floor plans, office perks, office events etc.
- Enthusiasm for Withings' preventive health mission and the potential of technology to improve our lives
Requirements:
- At least 5- 8 years of progressive HR experience at a technology start-up, scale-up or small business.
- Experience in a Global Human Resources role preferably in a generalist context.
- Proficient with employment law and exits
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business Administration
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential topics with the utmost discretion
- Ability to communicate effectively about HR topics like compensation and benefits, safety, training and discipline, etc.
- Project management and organizational skills
- Active listening and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving HR issues.
This position will be based in our Boston, MA office and will be required to work in-office 3 times per week.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and a strong capacity for resilience and adaptation, in order to be successful as part of Withings culture of innovation.
