Millstone Management Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate financial records, including journal entries and ledger updates
- Support the preparation and processing of invoices and payment transactions
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing
- Reconcile bank statements and perform monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare reports and assist in the closing processes for monthly and annual financial statements
- Collaborate with the accounting team to implement process improvements
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to company policies and regulations
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or related accounting roles is highly desirable
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management in a remote environment
