What you’ll be doing:
- Work with third-party tax advisors to coordinate and provide support for the timely delivery of all domestic and international corporate income filings for all legal entities of the company.
- Aid in the preparation of annual income tax provision workpapers.
- Work with outside specialist in preparing annual transfer pricing documentation.
- Prepare account reconciliations for various direct and indirect tax accounts.
- Assist in integration of acquired entities from an income, sales, property, and VAT tax perspective.
- Prepare and file all US state sales and use tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as required using our outsourced provider.
- Prepare state apportionment schedules.
- Research/respond to inquiries from taxing authorities.
- Monitor Tax mailbox and escalate issues as needed.
- Gather information for company responses during tax audits.
- Assist in development of a worldwide tax calendar.
- Prepare estimated income tax filings.
- Collaborate with and support global cross-functional teams in business development, legal, finance, accounting and treasury.
- Monitor pending or new tax legislation.
- Respond to tax inquiries and audits.
- Carry out other projects, as requested.
- Bachelor's degree accounting, or a related field. MST or CPA qualification is a plus.
- Prior Big 4 or Regional accounting firm experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is required.
- Ability to work in a “hands on” basis in a fast-paced private equity environment.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Strong business acumen and the ability to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ideally located in the Minneapolis area within a hybrid environment, but the role can be remote for exceptional candidates.
