Antepartum, postpartum, L&D, Gynecological post-op (hysterectomies and D&Cs), 32 weeks and up
COVID/PPE:
Adequate PPE provided
Patient Ratios:
1:2 Laboring
1:1 active labor
1:3 couplets
various gynecological surgeries
Required Certifications:
BLS, NRP, FHM
Skills required
Experience with all the above patients, circulate C-Sections, Recover mom and infant
Support on the Unit:
CNA: 1:13
OB techs serve as scrubs during C-sections
Charge nurse: light assignment
Phlebotomy/RN: draw blood
OB-GYN on call at night
Midwife on call at night
FHM monitoring at nurse’s station and bedside
Unit secretary 0800-1400
Charting System/Equipment:
EPIC

Orientation:
at least one shift on unit to learn flow
Schedule:
Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend
