As a Cosmetology Specialist at Walt Disney World, you will be responsible for creating and producing wigs, facial hair, and applying sophisticated makeup and prosthetics for Disney characters and performers. This role requires expertise in wig styling and complex makeup techniques, along with maintaining detailed documentation for various entertainment offerings. You will be part of a dynamic team reporting to the Cosmetology Manager, contributing to the magical experiences of guests.
Have you ever wanted to be a part of the creation of wigs for world-class entertainment offerings? We are currently seeking Cosmetology Specialists! In this role, we are the subject matter experts in the creation and production of wigs and facial hair, as well as sophisticated makeup, airbrush, and prosthetic application. We also build and maintain wig and makeup documentation for our world-famous Disney Characters, Entertainers, and Special Event performers.
You will report to the Cosmetology Manager.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $23.00 per hour.

- A valid Driver’s License
- A valid FL Cosmetology License
- Two (2) + years of experience with synthetic and/or human hair wig styling
- Confirmed knowledge of complex makeup application techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at varying elevations
- Physical role requiring prolonged standing or sitting, walking long distances and repetitive bending, twisting, grasping, clutching with hands at or above chest level for extended periods
- Willing to work with elements made from natural or synthetic materials such as fur, latex, or mylar
