Number of Beds : 26 Patient Ratios : 2:1 Unit staffing description: RNs and Unit secretary/COVID runner. Total care is provided by RNs
Type of equipment: Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes mask, face shields, goggles, PAPR s and hoods for our COVID-19 patients. Documentation system: Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)
Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
Must have: Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients, ICU experience,
rocedures performed on unit: Intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, continual renal replacement therapy (CRRT), proning of patients.
Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus Dress Code: (Required uniform) Ceil blue scrubs White or ceil blue scrub jacket optional If working with COVID patients, green surgery scrubs will be provided upon arrival to unit
