Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Solutions Architect with a strong foundation in both infrastructure and application architecture. This role involves leading architectural efforts for the MDOS Elections, Financial, and Legal departments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing business practices through strategic infrastructure solutions.
- Analyze and recommend architecture solutions for both infrastructure and web/mobile applications.
- Lead development teams and oversee the implementation of systems in line with the defined architecture.
- Ensure compliance with defacto and dejure standards.
- Lead and review business analysis efforts, ensuring completeness and integration of infrastructure efforts.
- Assist with strategic planning, applications integration, and legacy application strategies.
- Perform cost analysis and modeling to assess project returns and operational costs.
- Recommend hardware, software, and design changes to improve system performance and scalability.
- Support technical teams with architecture implementations and coordinate architectural changes across technical and business environments.
- Develop solution architectures from business requirements, ensuring a cohesive and manageable environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in C# and software development.
- 5+ years experience with SQL Server.
- 3+ years experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, using common cloud providers (Azure or AWS), and working with containers and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in configuring cache and message queuing systems (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ).
- Experience in creating and maintaining security plans and disaster recovery plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize cloud-based solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS or Azure certifications.
- Experience in leading large-scale IT projects.
