We are hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for providing a broad range of infrastructure services that enhance the efficiency of our Global technical operations. This position contributes along a broad technology continuum with focus not only on the infrastructure design of our back office and network architecture, but also technology penetration within the business and associated return-on-investment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with staff to ensure technology penetration within the business and associated return-on-investment.
- Provide project-based implementation of infrastructure systems with little oversight.
- Assist with the design, implementation and operations of regional offices around the country and world to ensure integration of all sites into single corporate IT infrastructure.
- Provide proactive analysis and recommendations pertaining to the optimization and enhancements of infrastructure systems in order to improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Storage Area Network (SAN) administration including capacity planning, implementation, replication, backup and recovery.
- Significantly contribute to the documentation and organization of infrastructure processes as to provide standards for use by the Firm.
- Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of network servers and related enterprise software.
- Enterprise application support (SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, Druva, etc.) to include:
- General technical troubleshooting and working with vendors or developers to resolve issues or add functionality.
- Maintenance and upgrade support.
- Support of report generation needs.
- Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot video teleconference equipment, computing hardware and software problems.
- Participate as needed in the image, installation and configuration of client workstations/laptops, related software and peripherals.
- Participate in 24x7 first tier on-call team rotations.
- Enhance existing processes through automation and scripting.
- Train employees on the use of the IT infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 6 - 8 years of related work experience.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SD WAN management, Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft servers, MS SQL, MS Exchange, Active Directory, scripting and the Windows client platform (OS, Microsoft 365).
Expertise in enterprise back and recovery in physical and virtual environments with Symantec/Veritas agents, onsite LTO architecture and offsite storage rotation.
Expert knowledge of Storage Area Networks, HP (Nimble) Storage, SAN protocols, iscsi, infiniband and fibre channel.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and remote command line environments.
Specific Operational experience and expertise with
§ Cisco router, firewall, switch configuration and management
§ Epicor GL – ERP General Ledger on premise
§ Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure architecture
§ Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange online and SharePoint online administration
