Our client in Florence County, SC is in need of a Critical Care Pediatrician for a full-time assignment!
Job details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Desired start date is no later than January 1, 2025.
- Reason for opening: Attrition
- Schedule includes 7 days on, 7 days off. Possibly flexible according to the arrangement between the Medical Director and Staff Physician.
- Shifts consist of 24-hour rounding plus call from home.
- Call will be shared with another Intensivist.
- 7.6 shifts per month is full-time, 5.5 shifts per month minimum for benefit-eligible.
- Practice setting includes inpatient care and rounds.

- Facility designation: Level III Trauma Center.
- Responsible for providing coverage to a 6-bed PICU
- Admissions and patient management
- Consultation with families and referring physicians
- Working with local physicians/facilities on successfully accepting transfers into the hospital/unit
- Documentation system/EMR details to be discussed with the Medical Director.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- TRULY Board Eligible (new grads/those in last year of fellowship working to become BC within 5 years) or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care - REQUIRED
- Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
- SC License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- PALS, ATLS (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA (or able to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and license record - PREFERRED
