Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Sibley, Iowa.

# beds Up to 12 beds - Average census 3-6 but with COVID this could be up to 10. Certs BLS, ACLS, PALS are all REQUIRED Ratios 1:4-5 "Team Nursing" Consists of the floor nurse & charge nurse working together EMR MediTech Shifts- 630-7 Weekend Requirement Every 3rd Weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) Holidays- Rotate in with the perm staff. They assign holidays based off which weekend rotation schedule you are assigned to. Scrub Color- Navy blue - No fleece - But could wear something similar to a North Face shell shirt RN s must be able to read & interpret strips. They do have a higher volume of swing bed patients, but on average they have 1-2 patients that need to be on Tele. RT 24/7 No in-house RT but have RT support they can access through eCare on big screens. RNs do all breathing treatments, etc. Also have a CRNA on call 24/7. Pharmacy 24/7 "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm. Also have ePharmacy to auto-verify meds." Floating - must be able to float to the ER. Charge nurse is in-house as a resource, as well as an ER RN, & another nurse in the outpatient area during the day. Currently have some mandatory call right now approximately - 12-24 hours/month with a 45-minute response time * They do not have an ICU*
