Biochemical Genetics Physician Opportunity Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Biochemical Genetics physician to join a rapidly growing genetics program. This clinical position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the continued development and success of the program. The physician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to pediatric and adult patients with complex genetic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism, focusing on safety and quality in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Practice Description The team includes 7 highly specialized biochemical and medical genetics physicians, a nurse practitioner, 3 dietitians, 21 genetic counselors, 4 genetic counseling assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and other support staff. This dedicated group upholds a mission that encompasses education, clinical services, research, and advocacy, supporting all areas of the childrens hospital's efforts in genetics. Facility Description The facility is a renowned, 234-bed children's hospital offering globally integrated, state-of-the-art care and recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nations Best Childrens Hospitals in two subspecialties. The hospital handles 8,760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits annually, including over 55,185 visits to the Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Department.
