Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.)MUST HAVE a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters.Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.

12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a)Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.Rotate in with the perm staffNo call required

YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, Heparin, AmiodaroneCharge Nurse/House Supervisor: ED charge nurse.Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: ED PCTs availableRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): No VentsIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. No monitor tech in the ED.Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus.
Additional Details
Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.Scrub Color/Dress Code: NavyMay be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medicaton administration.Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule; first to float, could float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert
